New PS3 Model Screenshots Released?July 13, 2012 - Some new images surfaced today of what looks like a remodeled PS3 console. The images appeared on the site of
Anatel (the Brazilian Agency of Telecommunications) and depict a PS3-labed device similar in vein to the original fat PS3 console, but with a slim figure. The top of the device has a ridged texture and what looks to be a sliding panel for a new way to load games and movies on the device.
While the images can't be accessed directly from the database, thanks to Tecnoblog, we can bring to you some of the images of what the new PS3 is supposedly gonna look like. The database does allow access to a document that references products CECH-4011A, CECH-4011B and CECH-4011C. These product numbers supposedly correspond with 16GB, 250GB, and 500GB storage options. Just as a reminder, the current PS3 Slim model is of the CECH-30xx series.
With the
FCC filing and these screenshots surfacing, one gotta ask themselves... Is there a price cut in the works for the PS3 console? Will the 16GB option be sold for $99? Will we see $200 and $250 price points for the 250GB and $500GB versions?
